Undergraduate Lab

A large lab of 36 i-Mac computers is available to the students of the Music Media and Performance Technologies and Digital Media Design courses. These machines are used to teach students how to use software which is rapidly replacing their hardware equivalents in the film and music industries. Music software like Logic Pro 8 and Final Cut Express are used to familiarize students with the processes and concepts involved in making professional film and music productions. Other, more experimental software such as Max/MSP/Jitter and Pd give students access to tools which grant the user complete creative control over the computer as a utility for media application. A 9 foot display screen with an audio sound system are also available for teaching and demonstration purposes.
