The keynote was given by Ilpo Koskinen – University fo Art & Design Helsinki. Presentations & posters at the PGR conference were made by PhD design students from Northumbria, Dundee & Lancaster Universities. Naturally, as design students, the graphic design of many presentations was exemplary. My own presentation on my research thus far went very well, with useful feedback from colleagues and staff members.
The Interface Conference at Birmingham City University showed great quality programming across its varied remit. The first evening of performances at the Conservatoire were all strong and varied. The following 2 days presentations and workshops were engaging. I got a lot from the Python workshop ran by Jamie Bullock.
My own performance took place on the Friday lunchtime, at Margaret Street Campus. Again, I was part of an eclectic mix of performers. The audiovisuals were well received and my afternoon presentation enabled me get into the detail with my audience who were also in attendance. A link to a recording of the performance follows.
